Ray County Hospital and Healthcare offers routine and advanced services using state-of-the-art equipment. This high level imaging helps your physician make decisions to treat you better. Our licensed Technologist strive to provide you with five-star service and quality which deliver you the best care and comfort.  All exams are interrupted by Alliance Imaging which is a board certified Radiologist group.  The services provided are Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 3D Mammography, Bone Mineral Density Scans, General Ultrasounds, Echo cardiograms, and general X-ray exams.

Digital Radiography 

We offer general X-ray exam services are available by walk-in, by outpatient appointment and for emergent cases 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All our staff are American Registry of Radiologic Technologist certified. This insures you the best trained and quality of exams. Fluoroscopic exams are provided with a Radiologist 2 days a week, but can be requested by your physician for a different time if needed.

Portable Radiography is provided for your comfort and provided the physicians with instant Imaging.

Digital Radiography has made the image quality exceptional and the whole experience faster for you the patient. 

Computerized Tomography (CT Scan)

Siemens Definition AS 64-Slice CT Scanner is the best in quality and imaging. This unit minimizes the dose and maximizes the quality for your exam. This service is available by outpatient appointment, for emergency cases its available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

The MRI Unit is a Siemens MAGNETOM Espree 1.5T which means you’re getting a 73cm opening. This is the widest opening on the market and insures your comfort and a high quality exam. Our Staff are well trained registered Technologist this provides you the best comfort and experience. This Unit is a short bore which provides more comfort for the patient.

3D Mammography  

Our best in the market Mammography unit is a Holoic 6000 3 D Tomography. The Technology has never been better. This allows for the greatest of detail and complete coverage. We offer the curved paddles for your comfort. We are accredited by the ACR (American College of Radiography) and MQSA/FDA (Mammography Quality Standards Act/Food and Drug Administration).  Our Technologist are not only registered in Mammography but have had extensive training here and abroad.  CAD is a computer aided detection which helps assist the Radiologist in order to make the most accurate diagnosis and interpretation of your images.

You can self-refer for an annual screening Mammogram and this does not require a physician’s order so call to make an appointment at 816-470-5432, Ext. 121.

Ultrasound

Our New Phillips EPIC provides the best images on the market. The Ultrasound Technologist are board certified and have many years of experience.

Bone Mineral Density (DEXA)

Early detection of osteoporosis using done densitometry is key to supporting better health. At RCH we use the best equipment available. Hologic Horizon C provides the most detailed results to insure you get the best care. Our specialty trained Technologist are registered in Bone Mineral density. Your physician will receive a very detailed report were necessary treatment can be discussed.

Bone health is very important for a healthy skeletal frame. With aging and other factors, we may incur bone loss and with the proper exam and treatment fractures may be prevented.  Ask your physician if you should have a bone density test.

Nuclear Medicine (In-House)

We have Nuc Med services Monday-Friday. The outreach program Clinashare provides our service and covers many other facilities in the state. The quality of equipment, Technologist and service is 5 star. You can be reassured that you’re getting the best care, service, and safety in the state. Nuc med provides a variety of exams that will help your physician diagnosis and provide treatment. Below are just a few examples:

PET/CT SCAN (Mobile)

Every Monday Shared Medical provides a mobile PET scan service. Shared Medical not only serves the state by the surrounding states as well. Video Swallow Study

The speech therapist will accompany the Radiology tech and work with you to provide an excellent evaluation of your swallowing function for your physician. Results are quickly provided to the physicians to determine dietary restrictions, if needed for your safety.

Final Report Approval

All exams are interpreted by board-certified radiologist from Alliance Radiology. The computer system allows the Radiologist to read the exams 24/7. Your physician may review your exam via a private internet connection through a physician portal.
