The Ray County Hospital Foundation invites you to participate in our Annual Earl Sheehy 5 Star Scholarship Opportunity. This scholarship is for one individual from the Ray County Hospital Service area who is interested serving in the medical field.
Qualifications:

- The applicant must be 12th Grade student who is on schedule to graduate from a Ray County High School; or a child or grandchild of a hospital employee who is going into the medical field; or a current employee looking to further their career in the medical field.

- The applicant must have earned at least a “B” average (3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale) in all course work.

- The applicant must, in the opinion of the selection committee, have significant potential to be successful in health service;

- The applicant must plan to enroll or be enrolled in a medical related field with plans to serve in healthcare industry.

- The applicant must submit two letters of support with the scholarship application with the scholarship application.

- The applicant must submit a 500 word essay
Scholarship Amount: The Earl Sheehy 5 Star Scholarship is the amount of $500 and may reapplied for up to four years.
Deadline: The deadline for the submission of applications for the 2026 award is April 25th, 2026. Before applying, please have the following information ready:
