Through the CHNA, the hospital seeks to identify and address the most pressing health needs of the community, ensuring that everyone receives the care they need.
What is a Community Health Needs Assessment
A Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) is a comprehensive process conducted every three years by non-profit hospitals like Ray County Hospital and Healthcare. It involves collecting data on health outcomes, risk factors, and the social conditions that impact well-being in the community. In addition to analyzing data, the hospital actively gathers input from residents, public health professionals, and local leaders to better understand the community’s most pressing health challenges. The findings from the CHNA help guide the development of targeted strategies aimed at improving health outcomes and enhancing overall quality of life in Ray County.
How Do I participate?
To launch the CHNA process, Ray County Hospital and Healthcare has released an online survey beginning June 17th. The survey invites all community members to share their perspectives on the most pressing health concerns in the area and how the hospital can better meet local needs. Your input is essential in helping shape the hospital’s priorities and future health initiatives.
