Housekeeping and Laundry

Housekeeping and Laundry: Full-time, Days Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, rotating weekends 6am-2pm

Reports to the Director of Environmental Services.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cleans areas of the hospital such as patient rooms, nursing work areas, lobbies, restrooms, offices, corridors etc.
  • General cleaning, use of cleaning devices, broom, mop, vacuum.
  • Perform detailed cleaning of assigned areas.
  • Collect, launder, sort and fold washables to provide linens to all departments.
  • Other job duties as assigned. 

Skills Required:

  • Be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Complete work assignments accurately and in timely manner
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Work independently.
  • Requires lifting, bending, standing and walking on hard surfaces for long period of time.  
  • Must be able to understand and follow laundry procedures.
  • Must work well with others.

Previous experience is not required but preferred.
