Housekeeping and Laundry: Full-time, Days Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, rotating weekends 6am-2pm
Reports to the Director of Environmental Services.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleans areas of the hospital such as patient rooms, nursing work areas, lobbies, restrooms, offices, corridors etc.
- General cleaning, use of cleaning devices, broom, mop, vacuum.
- Perform detailed cleaning of assigned areas.
- Collect, launder, sort and fold washables to provide linens to all departments.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Skills Required:
- Be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Complete work assignments accurately and in timely manner
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Work independently.
- Requires lifting, bending, standing and walking on hard surfaces for long period of time.
- Must be able to understand and follow laundry procedures.
- Must work well with others.
Previous experience is not required but preferred.
