Abilities/Skills:
Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy degree
Missouri Board of Pharmacy pharmacist licensure with Medication Therapy Services designation in good standing
Must have attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, ability to prioritize and problem solve, ability to mathematically compute and convert drug concentrations and doses
Previous hospital experiece preferred
Job Duties:
Assess, monitor, initiate and modify medication use according to patient condition and age specific criteria
Ensure prompt and accurate medication preparation and dispensing, supervise and direct supportive pharmacy personnel
Review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential and actual drug related problems
Recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate
Compound and dispense medications for accurate delivery to patients
Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients
Communicate with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care
Oversee technical personnel who assist in the preparation, maintenance and dispensing of medications and supplies
Provide patient counseling efficiently and effectively when required
Adhere to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety
Maintain competence required for position
Perform other related duties as assigned

M-F 7am to 5pm and Sat/Sun 7am to 2pm
